The Pasadenas literally danced their way to success a little over nine years ago when their debut single TRIBUTE stormed into the UK and European top 5, paving their way for their million selling debut LP, TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Formerly a dance group known as "Finesse" they signed to Sony Music label Columbia and became the Pasadenas, who are twins, David and Michael Milliner, Andrew Banfield, Jeff Aaro Brown and Hammish Seelochan, together they have constantly re-interpreted the great sound of early American soul and R & B greats, such as Otis Reading, Wilson Picket, Stevie Wonder and delivered it to a whole new generation.
Their first album met with critical acclaim in the U.S. with their first single going to number 5. R & B managed to crossover to the market that it was tailored for, with the advent of the black quartet and quintets achieving considerable success in the US market. The band's strength lies in its live performance; it will be one of the main qualities that set them above their contemporaries. 1992 saw them have a successful year in the UK with their third Gold album spawning 5 top 40 hits. "I'm Doing Fine" ,their top 5 hit, was the biggest selling on the Sony label by any of its UK signings and achieved silver status, by selling over 200.000 copies in the UK alone. The Pasadenas have a new single due out in the New Year and their forthcoming album project includes contributions from luminaries such as Terence Trent D'arby, Prince and Curtis Mantronix. All five members contribute equally towards the choreography, writing and arranging of songs and have succeeded in producing a unique sound which they describe as "popular music with R & B overtones". By fusing their brilliant dance steps with their euphonious singing talents, the Pasadenas provide an exciting and breathtaking live performance not to be missed.
